OK, this is our 5th competition

The concept for this competition is The Depth Of My Soul

I suppose that in that there is all manner of things that can be done.

Its a competition of imagry depicting what we each see as a piece of us. Coming from the very depth of what makes us do the things we do, causes us to create, esentually a depiction of what makes us who we are.

Go as far as you like!

So get going and be creative, it could be a poem about the a moment you have had, or even about dreams you have of who you'd like to think you are, you can do pretty much anything you like but stick the 'The Depth Of My Soul' theme – what are you waiting for. Go, Go get writing

So here we are our new competition,

The Depth Of My Soul

Ok, so the idea is, that you guys in the community come up with novel ideas on how to show the ‘The Depth Of [Your] Soul'

For example a poem below is a helpful tip..

Through imagery, metaphor, cadence and other devices, poetry converts literal meaning into something larger and more colourful.

Or an art piece that expresses the atmosphere of the inner you.

Or maybe a prose piece that touches on what you think is the inner workings of you.

Then if you are into photography, go and take pictures of dark scenes or anything that you feel is reflective of your inner condition, you can always explain your meaning in your description if it isn’t clear from the work.

To submit simply, note us with a link to your work And we will add it to our journal index of submissions with a link to your name and a link to your work

Poetry has no limit (how refreshing) so go wild

Prose no longer than 2,000 words

Art has no restrictions, so go even wilder

Photography has no restrictions either, except for the not wanting anything other than what is under the theme of this comp, but don't worry too much

As of the deadline, I feel a month is a good enough amount of time so that means, the December 6th will be the deadline at the moment! However that is likely to change.

If that is ok with you guys then that will be the deadline, if you need longer please say below or note us

One winner will be picked from each category, if it works out that we get enough submissions

But in the end a grand winner will be announced and will win the 3 month subscription


You can submit multiple pieces to multiple categories - however you can only win once


I REALLY DO WANT TO GIVE YOU PRIZES - but it will depend upon the volume involved if there are less than 5 in each catagory then i will have to scrap the prize or use the money to by it for myself
